USS Nautilus

This DIY Metal Earth kit allows you to create a detailed 3D model of the USS Nautilus (SSN-571), the world's first nuclear-powered submarine and the sixth ship to bear the name "Nautilus." On January 17, 1955, the historic message "Underway on Nuclear Power" was broadcast as the order was given to cast off all lines. Over the next several years, the Nautilus would break numerous records, including submerged speed and distance, and become the first submarine to successfully complete a submerged transit of the North Pole.
